Hi

I'm Mikey, the ranch collie.

It is my job to introduce affordable family horses and amateur prospects here at Faust Arabians. Looking after each of them daily has given me the opportunity to know these horses personally and from time to time, I would like to tell you about them on my webpage.

Come visit the farm and I'll show you around...maybe send you home with your own Faust Arabian... I will be the first to greet you upon your arrival...I also make cameo appearances in Faust Arabian videos so you might recognize me, however I have no aspirations for the silver screen. Although I do resemble some dog named "Lassie" (everyone tells me that), please remember that my name is M-I-K-E-Y short for Michael... my given name from the Collie Rescue Group where I came from a couple of years ago.

NEW TO ARABIANS OR WANT TO LEARN ABOUT HORSES?

For you newcomers if you want to learn more about the fun of getting involved with Arabian horses visit www.ArabianHorses.org. This is is the official Arabian Horse Association website where you will find educational materials on all the many riding activities from dressage to reined cow horse, for youth or adult. There is a free Guide to Owning and Arabian in print and DVD. And Parents, you don't have to OWN an Arabian horse - many of our youth show on lesson horses and enjoy summer camps with Arabians. Arabians are available in all price ranges and many youth members exchange chores for riding lessons. Kids with horses learn emotional control, good judgment, nurturing skills - and they have a great time. Be sure to visit the Youth Section of the website!

Please visit the Faust Family Album for their story of raising a family on an Arabian horse farm!

And last but not least, see my pictures selecting the Scottsdale winner of a free breeding to Psky FA! click here

The first purebred Arabian fellow I would like to introduce to you is one of my all time favorites. His name is Pskybiscuit FA sired by Psky FA (Padrons Psyche x Jamaara FA by *Ali Jamaal) and out of Angel Bey Be (Bey Shah x Paradas Fancy by Gai Parada)

Congratulations to Laurie Wright and family,
Quintessential Arabians of Peyton, Colorado on their purchase of the great mare *Eksmisja. *Eksmisja will be bred to the national champion *Ecaho.

If you are looking for a top quality show horse, I also recommend that you visit the breeding and sales page of PskyFA.com . Judy and Bill have been breeding Arabians since l985 and each year, the champions just keep coming.

If you are in the market for a competitive show horse...check them out at Faust Arabians Sales Page!

THE ADVENTURES OF KODI

A MICROCHIP SUCCESS STORY

I'd also like to tell you about a recent sale at Faust Arabians that had a heartwarming human/dog true story also involved with it.

Julia and Adriana Dakin, two sisters from Mendocino County, California purchased one of our lovely young fillies, Psophie FA (Psytanium x Pacifica VF) early this Fall. When they were on their way to come take her to her new home, they were accompanied by Julia's beloved border collie , Kodi. Kodi decided that he would try climbing out of the truck and "see the world" on their way to our farm...luckily someone on Interstate 80 saw him jump out and flagged the girls down. They spent hours searching for Kodi with no results. Much later that same day, they loaded Psophie and headed back home...so delightfully happy about their new filly and at the same time, so devastatingly sad about the missing Kodi.

Well...the true story has a very happy ending.

24 hours later, Kodi was brought to the Sacramento Animal Shelter by a kind lady who found him, tired and sad wandering aimessly around. The Shelter scanned him for a microchip and HOORAY....it was there with Julia's phone number.

That very night they were reunited and all of us were extremely happy. Please enjoy a photo of their reunion!

Congratulations to Adriana, Julia and Kodi on their purchase of Psophie FA! May you enjoy many Happy Trails together for years to come!
